On this video we join Clyde Charters on their Kip Marina dolphin and scenic/wildlife trip.
Leaving from Kip Marina we head up towards Greenock to seek out the resident Bottlenose dolphin pod.
Along the way we see various landmarks, including the Cloch Lighthouse in Gourock, the Gourock outdoor Pool, Kilcreggan pier and the Sugar Boat.
The “Sugar Boat” on the River Clyde is the wreck of the MV Captayannis, a Greek sugar-carrying vessel that grounded in 1974 during a storm. It remains a local landmark, visible from the Helensburgh and Greenock sides of the Clyde, and is known for its distinctive shape and the wildlife that has made it their home.
